In an interview with Oliver Renick on TD Ameritrade Network-Nasdaq, Bill Hench talked about how industrials offer reasonable valuations and growth potential.

On Sept. 17, Bill Hench was a guest on TD Ameritrade Network-Nasdaq.

Bill spoke with host Oliver Renick about how industrials are offering reasonable valuations and may gain in an expanding economy, which he noted is contingent on earnings. He added that strong GDP and employment statistics, along with low interest rates and taxes, have helped contribute to solid industrial performance.

Although he noted that the U.S. economy has continued to strengthen this year, the negative impacts of tariffs and trade disruption are worth watching.

When building his portfolio, Bill told Oliver he picks his stocks name by name, looking for those that he thinks will perform better than expected because they stand to benefit from positive changes within their cost structure.

Bill Hench has been with Royce for 16 years, having joined in 2001, and he currently manages three funds, including Royce Opportunity and Micro-Cap Opportunity Funds. He previously worked for 10 years in the institutional equity business, but he began his professional career as a CPA in 1986. Bill holds a bachelor's degree from Adelphi University.
