"The setup for small caps is really good," said Portfolio Manager Jay Kaplan.

On January 12, 2016, Jay talked with the hosts of CNBC’s Power Lunch, Melissa Lee and Brian Sullivan, about opportunities for small-caps going into 2016, and a few companies he likes.

Jay thinks the stage is set for "a healthy environment where people who want to own businesses for a long time are going to have the opportunity to buy great businesses at great prices, and that’s what we try to do at the Royce Funds."

He has 27 years of investment industry experience, 15 of which are at Royce. He is the portfolio manager of Royce Small-Cap Value Fund and Royce Capital Fund—Small-Cap Portfolio, and co-portfolio manager of Royce Total Return Fund and Royce Dividend Value Fund (with Chuck Royce).
