Boniface A. Zaino, CFA, is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of Royce & Associates, LLC, investment advisor to The Royce Funds.

Mr. Zaino serves as portfolio manager of Royce Opportunity Fund and Co-Manager of Royce Institutional Fund—Opportunity Portfolio with William Hench. He has 40 years of investment industry experience.

Prior to joining Royce & Associates in 1998, Mr. Zaino was employed by Trust Company of the West (TCW), where he was the Group Managing Director of the TCW Value Added Funds. From 1968 to 1984, he was employed by Lehman Brothers, where he served as President and Director of Lehman Capital Fund, Executive Vice President and Director of Lehman Management Company and Principal of Lehman Brothers. He received a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University.
