John  Protos

Analyst

John Protos is an Analyst for Royce & Associates, LLC, investment adviser to The Royce Funds. He works closely with Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager Charles M. Royce, and other members of the Royce investment team, researching the senior management teams and operations issues of companies in our universe.

Before joining the firm in 2006, Mr. Protos was a senior investigator at Milberg Weiss LLP (2004-2006) and a research consultant for Wasatch Funds (2002-2004). Prior to his career as an investment analyst, Mr. Protos worked as a news editor and investigative reporter for BusinessWeek (2000-2002) and SmartMoney (1996-2000) magazines. He received a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a master’s degree in international business studies from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University.
