While economic fears took their toll on many equity funds, Money Magazine highlights Royce Special Equity Fund, Royce Pennsylvania Mutual Fund and Royce Value Plus Fund on the Money 70 list.

Many of the funds on the list lost ground in the four weeks ended September 14, 2011, but Money praises Royce Special Equity Fund for having positive performance during the time period.

Money said "When putting together the list, we don't focus on short-term performance. Instead, we look for qualities that have lasting value -- such as experienced and trustworthy managers, and lower-than-average fees."

The full article is available in the Money Magazine, November 2011 issue.
