Bloomberg TV: David Nadel Talks Inflation and Small-Caps

On September 10, 2012, Royce's Director of International Research and Portfolio Manager David Nadel joined Erik Schatzker and Stephanie Ruhle for Bloomberg TV's "Market Makers."

David discussed the macro picture, currency debasement, gold, and in his view, the inevitability of inflation. He also discussed Royce's long-term approach: "We invest with a three- to five-year horizon in high quality companies, very strong balance sheets, high returns on invested capital, but in this type of environment we can't afford to avoid the macro."

David Nadel serves as portfolio manager on Royce Global Value Fund (with Whitney George), Royce European Smaller-Companies Fund (with Chuck Royce), Royce International Smaller-Companies Fund (with Chuck Royce), Royce Global Select Long/Short Fund, Royce International Premier Fund, and Royce International Micro-Cap Fund.
