    Jay S. Kaplan, CFA, is a Portfolio Manager and Principal for Royce & Associates, LLC, investment adviser to The Royce Funds. Mr. Kaplan has years of investment industry experience.

    Prior to joining Royce & Associates in November 2000, Mr. Kaplan spent 12 years with Prudential Financial, most recently as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for the Prudential Small Company Value Fund.

    Mr. Kaplan holds a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Master of Business Administration from New York University.

    For more than 35 years, Royce & Associates has utilized a disciplined value approach to select smaller companies for our investment portfolios.
