Meet Our People
W. Whitney George
Managing Director and Portfolio Manager
W. Whitney George is the portfolio manager of Royce Low-Priced Stock Fund and Royce International Value Fund, as well as Royce Focus Trust, a closed-end portfolio. He also co-manages Royce Micro-Cap Fund with Jenifer Taylor, Royce Premier Fund with Charles Royce, Royce Value Fund and Royce Capital Fund - Micro-Cap Fund with Jay Kaplan and Royce Global Select Fund with David Nadel. In addition, he serves as Assistant Portfolio Manager of Royce Value Plus Fund.
Prior to joining Royce & Associates in 1991, Mr. George held positions with Dominick & Dominick, Inc., WR Lazard & Laidlaw, Inc., Laidlaw, Adams & Peck and Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. He is a graduate of Trinity College.
For more than 35 years, Royce & Associates has adhered to a disciplined value approach in managing smaller-company investment portfolios.
